MONSTER ENERGY SUPER X - DUNEDIN

The promoters of Super X, the Australasian Supercross Championship, have confirmed they will be bringing their hugely successful series to North Harbour Stadium in Auckland on Saturday November 13 and Carisbrook Stadium in Dunedin on Saturday November 20 for round four and five of the seven round series.

All of Australia and New Zealand's best supercross riders including two times world supercross champion, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Chad Reed (AUS), as well as New Zealand's greatest supercross rider, Ben Townley, will battle it out on a full sized US designed supercross track for a complete round of the revolutionary series.

Reed and Townley have been racing head to head in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship currently underway in the USA, with Townley achieving two podium finishes in the last two rounds to put him equal fourth overall and closely behind Reed who is in second.

A majority of the riders competing in the series in Australia will make their way to New Zealand for both rounds including Jagermeister KTM's Mike Alessi (USA), who is currently fourth overall in the AMA world motocross series in the USA, CDR Rockstar Yamaha's Jay Marmont (AUS), two times Australian Motocross Champion and top Super X competitor and two of Australia's most exciting racers Rockstar Motul Suzuki twins Matt and Jake Moss.

The track will be custom designed and built by internationally renowned American track designer, Jason Baker, and will incorporate many unique challenges for riders.
