Virtuoso violinist/composer Fiona Pears returns to Dunedin after a whirlwind year which saw Fiona touring and performing at festivals and concert halls in the UK, Bermuda, Japan, USA and Phillipines.

Fiona, along with her amazing band will captivate you with her passionate and exuberant violin playing. She has become an international artist and composer and has matured into an effervescent and charismatic performer.

Apart from her playing, Fiona has continued to earn respect as a talented composer. Her songs are often based on her life's experiences of traveling and meeting people as well as her love of many different music styles. She has released three CD's, two DVD's and currently working on her new CD due for release in 2010.

Fiona's band is a cleverly chosen group of exceptional musicians, including husband and musical director Ian, who have both the ability and the confidence to perform her compositions incorporating various music styles including celtic, classical, gypsy and tango with a taste of jazz thrown in.
