This is an evening of contemporary dance from the Southern Lights Dance Company, the exciting professional dance group from Christchurch who made their successful debut at the Body Festival last year.
In 2010, the company presents three works of cutting-edge choreography. Two are new works; one by New Zealand choreographer Maria Dabrowska and the other by German choreographer Riki Von Falken. The third work on the bill is Fleur de Thier’s ‘Perch’ which has been remounted since its highly acclaimed first staging last year.
Featuring a company of outstanding dancers including Julia Milsom, Josh Rutter, Hannah Tasker-Poland, Erica Viedma and Nancy Wijohn, the Southern Lights Dance Company will perform at the Festival in their première South Island season. |
