The Festival literally begins with a thunderous explosion. 

Direct from the International Womad circuit, The Dhol Foundation make their New Zealand debut in Dunedin for one night only.

Full throttle drumming with high-powered Punjabi beats will turn the Regent Theatre into one big dance party. 

This is world music at its very best – a fusion of Indian drumming, Celtic folk and afro-beats. Loud, furious, exhilarating!

The Dhol Foundation, led by dhol master Johnny Kalsi is a Festival coup.
